Andrea Kämpf

Ms. Andrea Kämpf is a senior researcher and policy adviser of the Department of International Human Rights Policy at the German Institute for Human Rights. A lawyer by profession, she focuses on migration and the linkage to development, accountability mechanisms, environmental and social standards and the promotion of civil society. Alongside her work at the Institute, she teaches a Master degree course on human rights and development at the University of Applied Science in Düsseldorf, pursues an LLM in mediation and conflict management at the University of Frankfurt/Oder and works as a consultant for the Panel of the Independent Complaints Mechanism of DEGinvest, the German development finance institution for private companies. Before joining the Institute in 2007, she spent several years working with EU-funded development projects and for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
