Dr. Nomita Halder ndc

Dr. Nomita Halder ndc is Honorable Member of National Human Rights Commission Bangladesh. She was also the Secretary to the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare & Overseas Employment. In her service she introduced six distinct language courses for aspirant migrant workers; those included English, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin and Arabic. With intensive and repeated negotiations, she was able to create new job market in Japan. She played a leading role in signing MoU with KSA and UAE, further a MoC (Memorandum of Cooperation) with Japan regarding sending human resources. She also organized the first ever Labour Welfare Conference at Dhaka in 2018. Her utmost effort was to improve migration governance; that included women’s safe migration and prevention of human trafficking. In addition, she also served as the private secretary of Sheikh Hasina MP, the Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Her extensive contribution towards regular, orderly and safer migration is valued.
